The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Its a page that I've been meaning to do for a while.
For varying reasons - Bad PR, Bad customer service or just useless or the reverse Good in many ways - and because I can......
Fortunately for some, I'll start as of this date (if I remember some 'bits' then I'll insert).
So here goes........I shall be giving my reasons below (briefly)

Jersey Telecoms:
So where do I start(?) so many places, anyway just re-cap on my latest venture, which began with my Blackberry going 'fudd'. So therefore take into JT (didn't buy there, but does have 1 years warranty) advised that no cost to repair (loaned spare, which wiped my sim card!) then hit with a £70 bill (no chance!) asked why(?) several coughs and splutters and no answer(!) and also no answer to what actually was wrong with me Blackberry(!). 3 weeks to repair (Blackberry said it should be 5 days max!). Then on trying to repair my sim card I tried to contact the shop in King St........and yes you've guessed it, no chance(!!) WHY(?)....not allowed to transfer calls to the shop(!!)...........hence non recommendation(!!).
Canadian Affairs and Thomas Cook:
Too long to mention (but in short) Premium Class (pay extra) no personal TV, no extra leg room and no 'room' to complain(!). All after the 'event' shall we say, so therefore they've got your 'cash' and there's nothing you can do about it(!).
States of Jersey Government:
Enough already said really(!) A bunch of 'Silver Spoon' Millionaires who are basically 'failed businessmen'.
You know what should happen(?) Remember that program 'Back to the shop floor'(?) there you go(!) pop off and run a business for 6 months and see what happens(!).
Jersey Post (Or whatever they are called now):
They never used to deliver on a Monday, now this has been extended to Tuesday's. Not so long ago I had a letter explaining that due to development around my area (which I'm still looking for!) my delivery times would be changing (for the best of course!) true they did!
Nice, now I get nothing and they want to expand into the Mobile Phone market, now that should be fun (not!!).
BSB Sky Corporation:
Its a large corporation that has 'no fear' or 'no PR'. Why? Well I upgraded to Sky HD (well its all the rage..isn't it?) and found that the 'Red Button' facility doesn't work. So being me I rang Sky (after emailing with no joy) only to again have no joy (put on hold for god knows how long!).
So after a couple of days (7) I then sent (as you do) an abusive email (which got a reply, theres a surprise!). A couple of useless suggestions later it transpires that BSB Sky knew all along that the 'Red Button' facility doesn't work on some HD boxes (which they supply!). On making a comment or two (unable to print that bit) I asked for a refund (which was turned down!!) and was told that it was not a facility that I pay for (!!!??).....uuummmm...YES IT IS I UPGRADED FROM SKY+ TO SKY HD AT A COST!...NO COMMENT WAS MADE ABOUT THAT BIT (SURPRISE SURPRISE).
If their are any 'legal begals' out there who think I have a case please contact me as I would love to take Sky to the cleaners (by the way I have their comment in print, yes print!).
Recommendations:
Flamme Rouge:
Service with a smile. You want it you need it, FR is for you (biking I'm talking about!! I think!)
Coffee Republic:
Situated in New Cut (street on the corner) I've only just started using the place (on the way home from the gym, FR) and I've only had one (1) wrong order (albeit sorted before serving) and in some cases I don't even have to ask as my order doesn't change (Supremo Caffe Mocha with whipped cream to go) nothing wrong with whipped cream thank you(!).
Unlike the other coffee shop I used to go to (Bean around the World) well that just got worse and worse (not going to put in the non-recommendation bit, I'll spare them that). Wrong orders, no customer service, not a good combination really.
Newtel Solutions (Vodafone):
Might be premature but so far on changing my Phone network (away from Jersey Telecoms) the service has been excellent (might be because I'm a new customer?).
But time will tell. Advise so far has been spot on.
Well not that good, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Bit of 'duff' info@ first but I'm getting round that. Wrong 'servers' placed in wrong 'line', but now sorted me thinks. The Blackberry issue is still ongoing (give that an overnite cool off period 11.11.09).
Reviewing, all sorted now. Its that old problem of 'selling stuff with missing info'. The 'all you have to do thing' has(had) a few more 'bits to it'.
Back to Balance:
Been using Dr Marie-Christine Dix for my 'on going' back problems. Found her to be an honest, polite and confident person who know's her stuff(!). Would recommend her services, but be aware she's a busy lady..
Canari Cyclewear:
Finally a company that can supply me with some team clothing. Based in California this company has done nothing wrong so far. Right from the 'get go' emails have been answered promptly and professionally.
The required content, supplied by me, has been drafted and designs done. Samples have been sent to me (5 days)
